What We Do: WePlayed is a community-driven video platform for all college sports. Leveraging partnerships with several major conferences and working with the NCAA, we've assembled one of the largest catalogs of men's and women's competitions across ten sports. We receive contemporary video content shortly after broadcast, and also have extensive game footage from previous seasons. We enrich this rights-protected video with roster and statistical information from sports business partners. Using the scale, passion, and expertise of the sports community, WePlayed gives millions of athletes and fans both the content and the means for discovery, personalization, and sharing of sports moments across both web and mobile. How We Do It: Our platform not only brings college sports communities together with an extensive video catalog, but it also enables athletes, colleges, conferences, and fans to create, manage, and promote what we call "moments." Moments are video segments from a game in which users can easily add information about the athletes, the play, and the outcome. Moments bring so much more to life than what's seen so often in static, sports highlights reels. Moments can be organized into playlists, included as part of a user channel, or reused and shared by anyone in the WePlayed community.
