We're looking for a Staff Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails to drive technical excellence, and shape the future of our platform as we scale.

Your Impact:

• Lead architectural decisions and backend development using serverless infrastructure.
• Own and enhance system design for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
• Write and maintain high-quality, scalable Ruby code.
• Design and build robust, scalable APIs using AWS API Gateway.
• Lead integrations with third-party applications and services.
• Improve system observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure seamless API integration (Vue or React experience is a plus).
• Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and DevOps.

What You Bring:

• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Senior/Staff Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar role in a high-scale production environment.
• Expertise in Ruby (minimum 3 years) on production applications.
• Strong AWS experience, particularly with serverless architecture (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, S3, Beanstalk).
• Experience leading teams, mentoring engineers, and driving technical decisions.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of software design patterns, scalability, and security best practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks and automated test strategies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: Experience with front-end frameworks like Vue or React.
