We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to join our Technology team and help us create and manage the backend systems that support the Xena Intelligence platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance and reliable backend systems, as well as creating and maintaining APIs for integration with other applications. As a Backend Engineer, you will be a key member of the team and will play a critical role in the success of our platform.

As a Backend Engineer, some of your responsibilities may include:
- Designing and building scalable and dependable backend systems
- Creating and managing APIs for integration with external applications
- Working closely with the frontend development team to ensure smooth integration between the backend and frontend
- Writing and maintaining well-organized code
- Reviewing code and offering feedback to colleagues
- Mentoring junior team members and helping them enhance their technical skills.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 1 year of experience in backend development
- Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript, with extensive experience in Nest.js or other Node.js web frameworks.
- Experience in database design and development, as well as proficiency with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Experience with AWS/GCP and agile software development methodologies
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery practices and tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of TDD principles and experience applying them in practice with testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, or Jasmine, as well as experience with mocking and stubbing frameworks such as Sinon or TestDouble, and experience with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium.
