About you and the role

The solutions architect plays a key role in shaping the success of sales, customer success, and partnerships development. An outstanding solutions architect will be able to draw upon a diverse set of capabilities mixing the left and right brain: commercial acumen and strategic outlook, flexible quantitative and analytical capabilities, creative problem solving and solution structuring, and an ability to translate all of this thinking into client materials with a clear, compelling narrative. If you display many or all of these characteristics and have a passion for building business cases for new technologies in emerging markets, you could be the ideal candidate.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with sales and customer success managers to design, quantify the value of, and communicate partnership structures
  • Build compelling models that quantify Zipline’s impact and value for money, specifically as it relates to new programs, pioneering use case development, value-added services, and entry into new markets
  • Participate in the discovery process; incorporate desk research and information from stakeholder conversations to create value props, scope programs, and develop proposals
  • Create tailored content, including presentations and proposals, that compellingly communicate our value proposition and resonate with our target audience
  • Develop innovative financing and pricing approaches that maximize cost effectiveness for our clients and help continuously shape and improve Zipline’s operating model in Africa
  • Support customer success managers to distill, package, and share impact and performance insights; facilitate data-drive decision-making for customers; and establish frameworks for ongoing customer success reporting and sales enablement

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years in highly analytical and strategic roles, such as management consulting, investment banking, or business operations
  • Exceptional, compelling, persuasive communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced quantitative modeling and project management skills
  • Exceptional ability to analyze business situations from multiple viewpoints to identify gaps and opportunities, and align proposals with the prospect’s strategy and goals
  • Collaborative approach to sales and customer success that includes working with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Inherent self-motivation, flexibility, and creativity
  • Fluency in English

Ability to travel: Up to 30%

Location: Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire, France, or California, USA
