About You and The Role
Does cycle counts, parts inventory storage and tracking, highly organised and orderly warehouse space planning and logistics transportation planning and execution come natural to you? Are you a meticulous organizer and ruthless executor of inventory management strategies that results in the most efficient ways that supports high excellence operations? At Zipline, your work will result in seamless running of high impact operations with customers and stakeholders counting on you everyday, so there is no time for inventory errors, shortages and or transportation delays when they are needed.
What You'll Do
- Manage and upkeep of company facilities, including building systems, appliances, and outdoor spaces.
- Work with vendors, contractors, and property managers to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and manage facility access and safety protocols, including security systems and protocols.
- Coordinate facilities services, including custodial and security services.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and codes related to building safety and maintenance.
- Provide regular reports on facility operations, expenses, and projects to management.
- Basic vehicle fleet management.
- Execute shipping and receiving functions at the facility.
- Manage dock and warehouse organization, material handling equipment (forklift) and shipping supplies.
- Troubleshoot inventory and shipment issues that arise and work to solve them.
- Allocate and organize inventory and storage locations according to requirements.
- Update and maintain inventory records and databases.
- Identify potential inventory shortages and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
- Pick and prepare orders to be shipped.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling of shipments.
- Adhere to all safety standards and operating procedures.
- Build and grow relationships with internal customers and vendors.
What You'll Bring
- 2-5 years Facilities, Logistics and/or warehouse experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Initiative to scope, start, and drive projects and tasks to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing demands.
- Experience working with vendors, contractors, and property managers.
- Ability to openly seek advice, guidance, and enlist support as needed.
- Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications including MS Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with warehouse management system (WMS) technology.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision independently and as part of a team.
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Comfortable with standing for prolonged periods.
