Topshelf Enterprises DBA 3D Solar is at the forefront of next-generation solar energy and battery storage. Our latest project, Power Behind the Sun, integrates Lithium Titanate (LTO) battery modules directly on the back of solar panels, ensuring safe, uninterrupted power from sunrise to sunset.

We are seeking a Battery Testing Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience in battery storage, solar integration, and real-world energy solutions. This role offers a path to full-time employment for the right candidate.

As a Battery Testing Intern, you will work directly with our engineering team to test and optimize Toshiba LTO-based battery modules. These modules offer an extraordinary 25-year lifespan, high safety, and extreme temperature resilience (-50°C to +65°C). You will assist in battery charge/discharge testing, data analysis, and system optimization to help bring this innovative storage solution to market.

• Assist in testing and monitoring the 48V, 20Ah Toshiba LTO battery modules for performance, safety, and longevity.
• Work with Victron MPPT Charge Controllers to optimize battery charging from solar panels.
• Support Enphase IQ8H Bi-Directional Microinverter testing to ensure seamless battery discharge and grid integration to power 110 and 220-volt devices!
• Collect and analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to system improvements.
• Gain hands-on experience with UL 9540 & UL 9540A certification standards, BMS integration, and smart grid solutions.

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but unnecessary—a can-do attitude goes much further than a degree.
• Interest in renewable energy, battery technology, and grid-integrated solar storage.
• Basic knowledge of electronics, circuits, or energy systems is a plus!
• Ability to follow instructions, troubleshoot issues, and think critically.
