Director of Private Markets Sales

What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and scale StartEngine’s Private Sales team of FINRA-registered representatives
- Evaluate, hire, onboard, and train new sales talent as the business continues to grow
- Set clear performance expectations, sales targets, and accountability frameworks
- Drive revenue by improving sales process, deal execution, and investor engagement
- Actively coach reps on calls, deal strategy, objection handling, and closing
- Monitor KPIs, conversion rates, and pipeline health to optimize performance
- Ensure compliance with FINRA regulations and internal policies across the team
- Partner closely with executive leadership, compliance, and operations to support growth initiatives
What We're Looking For
- FINRA Series 24 (required)
- Proven experience leading commission-based sales teams in financial services
- Background selling complex financial products (private securities, alternatives, secondaries, or similar)
- Strong coaching mindset with a track record of developing top-performing salespeople
- Deep understanding of accredited investors and high-touch consultative sales
- Active FINRA licenses required for supervisory roles, including: Series 7, 63, 24
- Highly data-driven, competitive, and comfortable operating in a performance-oriented environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable building, iterating, and scaling processes
