Girls AAU Basketball Coach – Chicago Sky Basketball Academy

About Us

The Chicago Sky Basketball Academy is committed to developing young athletes both on and off the court. Our focus extends beyond basketball—we prioritize leadership development, mentorship, and personal growth. We are seeking 1-2 additional AAU coaches to work with our 14/15U or 16/17U girls teams.

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and reliable coach who understands that our primary focus is not winning but rather building confidence, teamwork, and life skills in our athletes. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who values mentorship, positivity, and leadership development in youth sports.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Coach and mentor 14/15U or 16/17U girls at practices and tournaments.
✅ Foster a positive, supportive environment—no negative talk or cursing.
✅ Be punctual, reliable, and a quick communicator with the coaching staff and parents.
✅ Attend practices on Tuesday/Thursday evenings (after 6 PM) and Saturdays (morning/mid-day).
✅ Be present for the majority of tournaments (missing no more than 1-2 events).
✅ Instill leadership and life skills in players while focusing on their development.

Preferred Qualifications

✔️ College playing experience (strongly preferred).
✔️ High school coaching experience or experience working with HS-aged athletes.
✔️ Passion for youth mentorship and creating a positive team culture.
