Are you the kind of person that likes to help others? Do you want to be of

service and make a difference in a person’s life? Are you capable, upbeat,

and kind? Do you like to cook and share healthy meals? Are you looking for

a place to live, earn a wage, and gain real-life experience?

Then consider this:

We are looking for two active and fun housemates to befriend and assist a

nice 30-year-old man (with a developmental disability, Anxiety, OCD…). He

loves watching sports (Go Dodgers!), doing things with a buddy like: hiking,

working out, going to dinner and movies sports events, concerts and

attending social events for adults on the Spectrum. His home is in North

Santa Maria in a gated community with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, club

house, basketball half court and more…This is a “guy’s only” house-sorry

ladies.

This position offers your own room with ample free time. We encourage

people to pursue their own passions and personal endeavors because we

believe that self-care is an important factor of taking care of others.

Requirements:

- Own a reliable car

- A good sense of humor :)

- A good communicator and strong organizational skills

- Live scan/fingerprinting, background check, proof of insurance

- TB Clearance and completion of training courses.

- Proof of Residency/ Fluent in English/ Male

Responsibilities Include:

- Support the lives and needs of the individual

- Share meals with the individual

- General house management (shopping, cooking, cleaning, finances)

- Assistance with medical appointments and medication management

- Explore/create new experiences and fun activities

- Collaborate with a team of support and complete training

Hours and Pay Scale:

- Live In Housemates are guaranteed 40 hours/week*

- Schedule is flexible TBD

- Pay scale starts at $24.50

- Pay is commensurate with skill, education, training, and experience.
