☕️ A bit about the role
This role is explicitly designed for people currently working in strong tech recruitment agencies who are open to moving into tech sales.
Depending on your experience, you’ll join either as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or as an Account Executive (AE).
This is not about “starting again”. It’s about translating the commercial skills you already use every day into a more scalable, better-aligned sales role.
SDR entry point
If your background is more weighted towards delivery, candidate management, or early-stage business development, you’ll join as an SDR.
You’ll be responsible for enterprise pipeline generation and deal qualification, working closely with experienced AEs. We have a strong track record of promoting high-performing SDRs into AE roles, and progression is clear and structured.
AE entry point
If you’re a seasoned 360 recruiter or agency BD who already runs complex client conversations, manages multiple stakeholders, and closes retained or high-value contingent deals, you can join directly as an AE.
You’ll own deals end-to-end: discovery, value articulation, commercial negotiation, and close.
In both cases, this is consultative, enterprise-led sales. You’ll be selling into senior engineering, talent and transformation leaders, not pushing volume for the sake of it.
✊ Your mission
- Identify and engage new business opportunities with companies that match our enterprise ICP
- Run structured discovery conversations to uncover hiring pain, urgency and success metrics
- Clearly articulate hackajob’s value across speed, quality, cost and fairness
- Generate and progress opportunities via a multi-channel approach: calls, email, LinkedIn, video
- Work closely with marketing on inbound and campaign-driven leads
- Maintain a well-managed pipeline with strong CRM hygiene
Additional scope for AEs
- Own deals from first conversation through to close
- Navigate multi-stakeholder buying groups and procurement
- Build internal champions within target accounts
- Forecast accurately and manage deals against clear close plans
