Household Insurance is one of Admiral’s fastest‑growing products, with over 2 million customers in just 14 years. Our Pricing department plays a key role in making sure we offer the right premiums to the right customers—balancing commercial sustainability with outstanding value.
You’ll be joining a team of around 70 Pricing Analysts, Data Scientists, and support specialists working across:
- Risk Pricing
- Retail Pricing
- Landlord Pricing
- InstaQuote Pricing
- Pricing -People & Projects
As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will support Pricing Heads of Department and Managers in delivering the strategic goals of the Household Pricing function. You’ll help drive commercial performance, deliver customer value, and contribute to a positive, people‑focused culture that reflects Admiral’s values.
Reporting Line
You will typically report to a Pricing Manager, although some roles may report directly to a Head of Department.
Essential Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical capability and experience working with large datasets.
- Proficiency in at least one analytical tool such as:
- SQL (Google Cloud experience advantageous)
- Looker
- R or Python
- Experience delivering complex analytical projects or models.
- Commercial & Problem‑Solving Skills
- A creative, innovative mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to improve decision‑making.
- Comfort challenging existing ways of working and proposing new approaches.
- Strong commercial thinking with the ability to balance accuracy, customer outcomes, and business performance.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Ability to explain technical or complex topics clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Confidence influencing colleagues across multiple teams.
- Experience working in a Home Insurance Pricing team.
- Previous mentoring or leadership experience (applicable for those interested in people‑focused roles).
- Lead and deliver high‑impact pricing projects that may span multiple teams or require advanced techniques.
- Develop and communicate analytical insights that guide pricing strategy.
- Introduce innovative methods and tools to improve how decisions are made within the department.
- Mentor or support junior analysts, helping develop talent within the team.
Our current hybrid model requires 1 day per week in our Cardiff HQ, ideally aligned with your team day. Many colleagues choose to spend additional time in the office, which we welcome We understand that flexibility is important and are open to discussing alternative arrangements.
