Hybrid role - 3 days in office, 2 days at home
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable services using Python (FastAPI) hosted on AWS
- Develop and integrate AI-powered services, connecting with LLMs, vector databases, or ML models to extend product capabilities
- Translate business and technical needs into well-architected, production-ready solutions delivered at pace
- Define and manage infrastructure as code using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for secure, automated deployments
- Implement observability and monitoring using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and related tooling to ensure service reliability
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent to enable automated testing and continuous delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (platform, AI, product, and data) to design and integrate service-oriented solutions
- Ensure code quality and reliability through unit, integration, and contract testing, code reviews, and best practices
- Contribute to reusable frameworks and libraries, helping accelerate development across the wider engineering organisation
- Champion a “build fast, build right” mindset, delivering services that are production-grade from day one
