hackajob is partnering with a US-based technology & consulting client to find a talented Senior Consultant Data Scientist. This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote opportunity — and they're hiring through our platform!

The Role
As a Senior Consultant – Data Scientist, you will own the design and execution of data science projects from end to end. You'll partner with client stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into data-driven strategies, build and deploy machine learning and predictive models, and present findings directly to executive audiences. You'll also mentor junior team members and help shape data governance practices within your organizations.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning and predictive models that drive measurable business outcomes
- Partner with client stakeholders to translate business problems into data science solutions
- Apply deep learning, NLP, and advanced statistical techniques to solve complex problems at scale
- Deploy and monitor models in production using CI/CD pipelines and MLOps best practices
- Work with large-scale data platforms including Hadoop, Spark, and AWS cloud services
- Present findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders in clear, actionable terms
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists on methodology and best practices
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in predictive analytics using Python, R, or Scala
- 3+ years writing complex SQL for data extraction and transformation
- Hands-on experience with machine learning including deep learning and NLP
- Proficiency with large-scale data platforms — Hadoop, Spark, cloud-based solutions
- AWS experience for production data processing, analytics, and model deployment
- CI/CD implementation experience in data science or ML pipelines
- Strong communication skills — you can explain complex models to non-technical executives
- Experience delivering in Agile/Scrum environments
Nice to Have
- Federal government or government consulting experience
- MLOps tooling — MLflow, SageMaker, or equivalent
- GenAI/LLM experience — RAG pipelines, fine-tuning, prompt engineering
- Familiarity with DORA metrics in an analytics context
