In this role, you’ll support both day-to-day production of our innovative mushroom-based materials and assist in research and development projects. This role is ideal for someone with a mix of technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Production:
Carry out day-to-day production of our innovative mycelium-based materials
Operate equipment and follow SOPs to ensure quality and consistency
Maintain pace with production targets and assist with planning when needed
Maintenance and Cleaning:
Clean tools, equipment, and workspaces to maintain hygiene and safety
Help keep the production area organized and efficient
Organize and maintain workstations, ensuring all supplies and equipment are stored properly and ready for use.
Safety:
Adhere to safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials and operating equipment responsibly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
Research and Development Assistance:
Prepare materials and assist in test setups
Document experimental results and production data accurately.
Quality Assurance:
Perform quality checks as per SOPs, including in-line and end-of-line testing, to ensure consistent product standards.
Maintain accurate batch and quality control records
Flag any defects, deviations, or inconsistencies in Production
Participate in the continuous improvement of production processes and procedures
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or lab environments is a plus - but not essential
A strong work ethic and a reliable, can-do attitude
Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Willingness to work paid overtime if needed
Comfortable working in a startup environment where things change and improve quickly
Safety-conscious and capable of following safety guidelines and procedures.
Basic understanding of scientific and technical principles is preferable.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing tasks.
Ability to perform detailed and repetitive tasks.
