Role Overview
Customer Success Engineer bridge our cutting-edge robotics technology with real-world manufacturing environments. You'll lead robot deployments at customer sites while contributing to product development based on field insights. This role combines 60% field engineering, 25% software/hardware development, and 15% ongoing customer success.

Ideal Background: 2-3 years deploying automation solutions or mobile robots in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Field Deployment & Integration (60%)

  • Lead end-to-end deployment of Peer 3000 robots including site assessment, hardware setup, software configuration
  • Train customer personnel on robot operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during deployment and operations
  • Optimize robot performance for specific customer environments and workflows
  • Document deployment processes and create troubleshooting guides

Development Contribution (25%)

  • Develop field-driven improvements based on real deployment experiences
  • Build integration tools to streamline deployment and reduce complexity
  • Conduct field testing of new features and provide engineering feedback
  • Address field-identified issues and contribute to product enhancements
  • Automate deployment processes to improve out-of-box experience

Customer Success (15%)

  • Serve as primary technical contact for deployed customers
  • Collect and document customer feedback to drive product roadmap
  • Handle technical escalations and coordinate with internal teams
  • Build strong relationships with customer engineering and operations teams

Required Skills

  • Field Experience: 2-3 years deploying mobile robots/automation in manufacturing
  • Industrial Systems: Expert in site assessment and deployment challenge identification
  • Software Development: ROS2, C++, Python, SLAM, & motion planning
  • Networking & IT: Experience with industrial WiFi networks and IT team collaboration
  • Electrical/Mechanical: Strong assembly and inspection experience
  • Experience with CAD software for mechanical design and/or electrical components
  • PLC & Automation: Working knowledge of PLCs, industrial sensors, automation systems

Preferred Skills

  • Manufacturing workflow and material handling process understanding
  • Industrial safety standards and compliance knowledge
  • ERP/MES system integration experience
  • Project management of multi-stakeholder technical projects
  • Customer-facing communication and relationship building skills
