They are partnering with a leading U.S. marketing agency—working with brands like American Express, T-Mobile, Coach, and Meta—to build a new infrastructure team in Costa Rica. They’re seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer (GCP & Azure) to join this team, collaborating closely with both the agency’s engineers and our client’s teams, and playing a key role in our client’s growth.
As a DevOps Engineer (Platform Specialist), you will be a critical member of the client’s technology operations team, responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of core marketing and content platforms. This includes platforms such as Sitecore, Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, Target, Analytics, etc.), Optimizely, Veeva, and other content management, digital experience, and service-oriented systems. You’ll bridge development and operations to ensure seamless integration, continuous delivery, and high availability of client-facing solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Management & Optimization- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure for platforms (Sitecore, Adobe Experience Cloud, Optimizely, Veeva, etc.) in cloud environments (primary focus on GCP & Azure, with exposure to AWS).
- Proactively monitor platform health, performance, and security; identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Optimize performance and cost efficiency across platform infrastructure and services.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment across environments.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) to provision and manage infrastructure repeatably.
- Automate routine operations, system health checks, and security remediations.
- Partner with development, QA, and project management to ensure smooth releases and integrations.
- Advise engineering teams on platform development, deployment, and optimization best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure, application performance, and integrations.
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical incident response as needed.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across platforms and infrastructure (DevSecOps).
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, configurations, runbooks, and troubleshooting.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role with a strong platform engineering focus.
- Deep hands-on experience with at least two of:
- Sitecore (various versions, XP/XM, JSS)
- Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, Target, Analytics, Campaign, Marketo Engage)
- Optimizely (Content Cloud, Experimentation, Commerce)
- Veeva (CRM/Content/Vault), especially integrations and deployments
- Expertise with at least one major cloud (GCP or Azure preferred; AWS a plus):
- Infrastructure provisioning (e.g., GCE, Azure VMs/App Services, EC2/S3/RDS)
- Networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, security groups/NSGs, load balancers)
- Monitoring & logging (e.g., Cloud Monitoring/Operations Suite, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Extensive IaC experience (Terraform, Ansible).
- Proven CI/CD expertise (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
- Solid containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) knowledge.
- Experience with Git-based version control (GitHub, Azure Repos, etc.).
- Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, AWS DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with additional marketing technology or CRM platforms.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and API management.
- Experience with performance testing and tuning of web applications.
