The Role
We’re hiring a Market Vice President to lead customer growth and partnership expansion across key regions including CA, WA, AZ, KY, NY, HI, OH, and MD/DC.
This is a high-impact, externally-facing role designed for someone who thrives in building relationships, closing strategic deals, and growing meaningful revenue partnerships—particularly across Medicaid/Medicare MCOs, Duals plans, and public health systems. Ideal candidates will bring both direct experience selling into these entities and strong existing relationships within them, enabling quicker traction and deeper engagement.
You’ll own the full sales cycle—from identifying opportunities to closing new accounts and driving renewals—while aligning closely with internal teams to ensure long-term success and scale.
Compensation Structure
This role offers a base salary between $75,000 and $100,000, plus commission. On-target earnings range from $175,000 to $200,000, with uncapped earning potential.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new payer partnerships across Medicaid, Duals, public-sector plans, and community health organizations
- Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to signed agreement to renewal strategy
- Develop tailored proposals, pitch decks, and pricing that reflect each customer’s priorities and Samaritan’s unique value
- Lead outbound outreach, warm introductions, events, and partner referrals to build a qualified pipeline
- Coordinate internally with CEO, Customer Success, and Product to ensure partner alignment and delivery success
- Support responses to RFPs and manage all documentation and reporting through CRM systems
- Channel customer insights to internal teams to refine messaging, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies
- Contribute to foundational sales tools and scalable systems for long-term growth
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You
- Have experience selling into or working with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Duals, or state health systems
- Are a strategic and consultative seller who can uncover customer pain points and tailor high-impact solutions
- Are excited by building something new—tools, playbooks, customer strategies—and iterating for scale
- Communicate clearly, listen deeply, and navigate complex stakeholder environments with confidence
- Operate with accountability and integrity, with a strong grasp of pipeline hygiene and deal forecasting
- Are passionate about transforming systems to better serve vulnerable populations
Desired Qualifications
- 5-7+ years in enterprise sales, payer partnerships, or strategic business development
- Deep understanding of Medicaid MCOs, public health entities, or community health financing
- Proven track record of hitting ARR or revenue targets
- Experience managing full sales cycles from cold outreach to close and renewal
- CRM fluency (e.g. HubSpot), strong proposal and deck development skills
- Comfort working cross-functionally in fast-paced, startup environments
Key Success Metrics
- Annual Contracted ARR and new customer logos
- Sales conversion rate and average time-to-close
- Qualified opportunities added to pipeline quarterly
- Net Revenue Retention and renewal close rates
- CRM hygiene and documentation of buyer journey
- Internal feedback on coordination and communication
