This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates residing in Central Southeast Texas.

Sirius Education Solutions is a Texas-based company that publishes supplementary print, digital, and blended learning resources for all 20 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) tested courses in grades 3-12. Sirius helps schools fill curricular and learning gaps with essential TEKS instruction and focused practice that matches STAAR 2.0 closely in content, format, and rigor.

The Account Executive is responsible for managing a territory for our TEKS-Based Instruction and authentic STAAR Support company, offering print and electronic learning materials to K-12 educators and administrators at the building and district level. The ideal candidate will have a strong K-12 education sales background, a focus on strengthening our connections with existing partner districts by expanding initial programs to district-level multi-year commitments, and an interest in growing with a successful small business.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strategic territory sales plan, cultivate new relationships, and drive new sales to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct sales presentations, demonstrate product the line, and initiate calls and emails necessary to develop strong relationships with prospective customers and drive sales.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain detailed reports of sales activities, including contacts, calls, presentations, and sales for customers within the territory.
  • Provide detailed periodic territory sales forecasts.
  • Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them to new products, services, and enhancements to protect and grow the customer base.
  • Exhibit the ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic, fast-moving selling environment.
  • Participate in networking opportunities and represent the company at educational conferences and events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to conduct online and in-person meetings and maintain a home office.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoho One, or related software.
  • A willingness to travel up to 30%.

Preferred Skills/Abilities

  • Familiarity with Zoho One CRM and Analytics.
  • Previous sales experience in the Texas K-12 education market, specifically for supplemental materials and eLearning products.
  • Knowledge of K-12 education in the Texas market, including assessment, digital learning resources, and educational technology.
  • Knowledge of education policy, K-12 school budgetary processes, the STAAR exam, and experience in K-12 district-level education sales.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, education, or related field, OR equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of sales experience is required.
  • At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 or more pounds.
