About the Role

The Solutions Consultant (SC) bridges product capability with customer reality.

You will own the end-to-end solutioning process in the sales cycle — from discovery → scoping → building demos → running demos → solution documentation → SOW creation → technical handoff.

Your work enables Unifize to win the right deals, reduce founder dependency, improve deal quality, and ensure smooth transitions into implementation.

This is a high-ownership, builder-seller hybrid role with deep product understanding, customer empathy, creativity, and strong technical storytelling skills.

Core Objective

Translate Unifize’s platform capabilities into contextual, compelling solutions for prospects through custom demos, configuring the platform for custom solutions, and technical sales enablement while ensuring smooth handoff into implementation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Discovery & Scoping

  • Participate in discovery calls to identify customer problems, requirements, and workflows.
  • Translate business needs into feasible Unifize configurations or workflows.
  • Conduct pre-demo technical checks and readiness validation.
  • Flag early-stage risks or solution misalignments.

2. Demo Preparation & Execution

  • Build and maintain industry-specific demo orgs with contextual dashboards, test data, and full workflows.
  • Configure tailored demo scenarios that reflect prospect-specific use cases.
  • Build and demonstrate ROI and business cases to prospects during the Sales cycle.
  • Lead live demos, technical Q&As, and postdemo follow-ups.

3. Proposal & Solutioning

  • Draft Scopes of Work (SOWs) aligning customer needs to solution deliverables.
  • Perform technical risk analysis and flag critical dependencies.
  • Support sales in pricing and packaging discussions through structured solution architecture.
  • Document solution rationale and configurations for internal transparency.

4. Handoff & Implementation Support

  • Prepare and deliver a complete Solution Handoff Package (including SOW, risk summary, and account intelligence).
  • Collaborate with Implementation teams to ensure continuity and delivery alignment.
  • Collect and log product or implementation feedback from early-stage deployments.

What Success Looks Like

  • Demos are high-impact, contextual, and founder-independent.
  • All demo orgs are production-grade and actively maintained.
  • Solution handoffs to Implementation are seamless and complete.
  • Sales team is enabled with technical clarity and confidence.
  • Product feedback loops are active and well-documented.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5 - 8 years in solution engineering, sales engineering, or technical product consulting within a SaaS or enterprise software company.
  • Good to have: Experience selling/consulting in the US markets.
  • Good understanding of the manufacturing and regulated industries. Bonus points for actual industry experience.
  • Strong product intuition and ability to translate abstract business needs into product workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience with configuring software platforms and building tailored demos.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting B2B sales teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines in parallel.
  • High ownership mindset with strong documentation habits.
